He doesn't really mind Tom. Tom's eccentric and weird but Alexander gets along with him more than Alan.

"I'll call him tomorrow."

Because Tom can wait. There's still some champagne left and a chocolate dessert to share, and then maybe a nice shower to wash off a day of being in a plane.

"After our spa day, which I'm very much looking forward to. I don't think I've ever had a proper spa day, though I do get the occasional manicure." He likes to keep his nails neat, it's the one thing he really splurges on for himself.

"I noticed."

He runs a thumb along Casper's knuckles and offers him up a spoonful of dessert, an amused smile playing on his lips. As if he hasn't already clocked so many things about Casper over the last few weeks. He decides not to mention he's booked manicures, not just because of Casper obviously getting them but because he likes to keep his nails neat, too. It's part of the whole image.

"The spa, a museum, dinner with my brother, drinks on top of the Eiffel Tower. That seems like a good itinerary for tomorrow, don't you think?"

"Did you?" The observation (and the spoonful of chocolate) make him smile, and he hums happily at the impeccable dessert choice. "Not a lot of people do." And it's clear how much it tickles him that Alexander has.

"I think that sounds like the most perfect sort of day. How fantastic."

Alexander quietly assumes that most people haven't had Casper's fingers in their mouth or digging into their back as frequently as he has over the short course of their courtship. He merely hums his response as he has a bite of the dessert himself.

"Maybe a quick stop somewhere to pick up something to wear to dinner."

Something to adequately show Casper off to his brother and Barbara.

Well no, certainly not. Alexander has been much more intimately acquainted with his nails than anyone else has been, recently.

The comment about clothes makes him laugh, and he nudges Alexander's foot with his under the table. "I did bring some suits. But I'll never turn down the opportunity to let you dress me."

"It's almost as enjoyable as undressing you," he says, having another bite and dragging the spoon out from between his lips.

"I'm glad you'll humour me."

Casper clears his throat a little, his elbow nearly slipping off the table with his distracted staring.

"If you keep looking at me like that, I'll humour anything you want."

"Mm, careful what you say."

He finishes the last of his champagne, then gets up to circle around the small table and lean over Casper from behind.

"I'm going to test out the shower," he says, lips pressed to Casper's ear. The invitation to join him goes unspoken as he squeezes Casper's shoulder and heads back inside the room.

The lips against his ear send shivers through him, and he's up as quick as he can. Grabbing for Alexander's hand, feeling a little tipsy, a little jetlagged, but very much in love.

"You might need a second opinion. I ought to come with you. Just in case."

Good. Alexander preens to himself, pleased at how eager Casper is to follow him around like this. He encourages it, of course. Why wouldn't he?

"A scientist's perspective can't hurt." He tugs Casper in close, absently undoing the other man's belt. "I'd hate to have to ask to change rooms because the shower is inadequate."

"I think I can manage that. Without giving you a lecture on water pressure." It's said with a laugh, as he sets his glasses down on the night stand before he works on unbuttoning Alexander's shirt.

"The room is gorgeous, did I say that? I've lived in apartments smaller than this."

"You poor thing."

Alexander settled himself into as much luxury as he could, the moment he was able to. The thought of living in a small, cramped apartment makes his skin crawl.

"It is nice, isn't it?"

He'll appreciate it more later, when he's not prioritizing getting Casper undressed.

"Well," he says, untucking his partner's shirt and sliding his palms over the other man's stomach, leaning up a little to kiss his chin.

"Now I'm spoiled, and you'll never be able to get rid of me."

"Why would I ever want to get rid of you?"

All the sentimental mushy feelings aside, Casper is great for his ego. It certainly doesn't hurt that he's attractive and great in bed, either.

"Perfect." He laughs, quiet and pleased, tugging Alexander close by the hips to kiss him properly.

"Right, right. Let me -- I need to get rid of some clothes. So we can shower. I should stop touching you and do that, right?"

"Mm."

He wraps an arm around Casper's waist, to hold him there until Alexander feels like this current kiss has run its course. Only then does he let Casper go, giving him a pat on the hip to nudge him in the right direction.

"I'll meet you in there."

Because he supposes he should get the room-service cart back out into the hallway so to can be collected, and he'd rather do it now than after when all he's going to want to do is tumble into bed. Then he undresses himself, carefully putting his clothes over the back of a chair to be dealt with in the morning.

Casper's clothes get folded neatly, as well, and set in a neat stack on a chair with his shoes underneath it. It's refreshing, really, to have found someone tidy like him. Someone who appreciates being neat and organized.

Once that's done, he steps into the shower with a sigh. The water pressure is fantastic, and the heat feels good after a long plane ride. The only thing that would make it better would be Alexander in here with him.

Casper doesn't have to wait too long, at least, until Alexander is slipping into the shower with him. The shower spray is very much welcomed after feeling stale from the plane ride over, and, really, the view inside the shower isn't something to scoff at.

"Well? What's the scientific opinion?"

"Excellent temperature and pressure. This scientist heartily approves." Casper turns to let the water wash over his back and soothe his shoulder muscles. And, also, so he can greet Alexander with a smile and a kiss.

"We might need a few more showers, of course. For proper data collection."

"Of course."

There will definitely be a few showers over the coming days.

He allows Casper his kiss and kisses him back, feeling, for the moment, quite content and unconcerned with anything else.

"Are you happy?"

"I am," he sighs, draping his arms over Alexander's shoulders. Keeping close, basking in the other man's presence. Utterly pleased and smiling softly as he noses at Alexander's cheek. "I am so, so happy right now.

Are you?"

"Very happy."

His arms go around Casper, happy that Casper's happy and happy that there's no unnecessary noise in his brain for the moment.

"But I think I could be happy most places with you."

"You're so sweet. I like that you're only sweet with me." Though he does also sort of like it, when Alexander is sharp with people. It's never anything that he's admitted out loud, but the man is pretty damn sexy when he's angry. It's a bit of a turn on.

He combs his fingers through Alexander's hair, scratching lightly at his scalp. "I also like that your hair is a little curly when it's damp. And that only I get to see that."

Alexander's nose scrunches a bit. Sweet. It's not something he strives to be, nor is it something he's ever even desired to be. But he can suffer being sweet for Casper, because he doesn't see it as sweet. He's just appreciative.

"I like when you tell me all the things you like about me," he says, leaning his head back in to Casper's touch.
