"Some other time, then." He nearly makes a joke about an anniversary gift, but it might be too early for that sort of thing.

"Should I wash your hair for you?" Casper loves playing with Alexander's hair, when they're tucked up in bed together.

"I'll allow it."

Because he knows that Casper likes playing with his hair, and he likes Casper playing with his hair, and there's only so much time in the day where his hair isn't carefully held in place by several products (always soft, though, no helmet head for him).

Gently, Casper works shampoo through Alexander's hair. Making sure to be thorough and give his scalp a good massage. It's been a long day of travel, they deserve a bit of pampering.

"I'll show you what suits I brought, before we settle in for bed. So you'll know what we need to look for, tomorrow." It tickles him, it really does, that Alexander likes to dress him up. It makes him feel a bit like arm candy, in a way, but he doesn't mind it a bit.

He almost - almost - feels bad about it, about assuming that Casper's suits don't cut it. He's sure they're fine for conferences and dates around the city. But he really wants to make an impression on Tom and Barbara. No, not wants. Needs.

Besides, he could do with some new suits himself, and he'd hate to leave Casper out of that.

"Always so considerate," he murmurs, enjoying the scalp massage.

Honestly, he's appreciative of the help. Casper's wardrobe is hopelessly outdated, he knows. Most everything was bought decades ago, out of necessity rather than regard to fashion. And he wants to look nice for his partner, besides.

"I'll even wear a real tie for dinner," he offers with a smile, fingers sliding down to gently scratch the back of Alexander's neck.

"Well, I'd make you wear one," he says, and there's no doubt that he means it, too.

He gives Casper a somewhat sharp pat on the hip, between playful and not.

"Let's rinse off and see those suits."

There's a little bit of a yelp at the smack to his hip, and he blushes, but it's -- nice. The playfulness.

One more kiss and a quick rinse of his hair before he steps out, wrapping up in one of the obscenely luxurious robes the hotel has provided and snuggling happily into the plush fabric. Then he sets about hanging up his suits for Alexander to look at. All serviceable, all fine. Good for a meeting or a date back in New York, certainly. But maybe a little on the older side, not quite up with current styles.

He wanders into the room a few moments later, one of the hotel robes loosely tied around him. He's seen a couple of these suits already, and, no, they don't really do Casper any favours, do they? Boring and basic cuts, and lacking good tailoring.

"Which of these do you like the most?"

Alexander isn't entirely heartless when it comes to Casper Darling - a nice suit is pointless if the person wearing it is uncomfortable in it. The least he can do is find something to create a soft landing.

"Well hello, handsome." Alexander gets a kiss on the cheek as Casper splits what's left of the champagne between their two glasses.

He does appreciate, truly, all the fashion advice that Alexander has given him since they first got together. He knows his wardrobe is hopelessly outdated, most everything bought in the late nineties and pulled out when needed. And Alexander Wake is a deeply stylish man, it was one of the first things Casper had noticed. So he takes the advice, happily.

"I think the charcoal grey? That's probably the one I wear the most."

Charcoal is good. A bit more muted than black, which would be too harsh and too crisp on Casper.

"What about that one's more appealing to you?"

It's mostly genuine curiosity. He sips at his champagne, inspecting the suit a little more closely.

"I like the way it fits in the shoulders. It's hard for me to find a jacket that isn't super tight in the shoulders without being too long. I'm a weird shape, broad but a little stocky."

"Mm, I like your shape."

And it's nothing that a good tailor can't fix. It also means it's not really the colour Casper enjoys, which is good, because Alexander is already making plans to put him in something navy.

"And you like it better when it's not hidden under sweaters," he teases with a smile, snuggling in close and nuzzling against Alexander's jaw.

"I'm going to get spoiled, you know. Nice dinners and new suits and all that."

"I like knowing I'm the one who gets to enjoy it."

He slips his hand inside Casper's robe, brushing his fingers across that broad chest of his.

"And I need you to match my style when we go out."

[readytosee]

"Well I am more than happy to let you dress me up and style me." He hums a little at the touch, setting his hand at Alexander's waist.

"I've always admired your sense of style. Looking very fine in your three piece suits. Though I'll admit to get distracted whenever you have a button or two undone."

"I'll remember to keep them undone in the future, then."

Since he lives for the attention and all.

He slides his hand up to squeeze the back of Casper's neck, giving him a brief kiss.

"Should we go to bed?" It's been a long day, and the champagne and late dinner is making the tiredness catch up to him. Plus, it's not such a bad thing, curling up against Casper for the night.

"Terrible. Such a distraction. However will I cope?" By swaying happily into Alexander's space and nudging their noses together, clearly, returning the kiss with a soft one of his own.

"I would enjoy nothing more. Since we have our spa session in the morning, and I certainly don't want to be tired for that."

He gives Casper a little playful bite, then takes away his empty champagne glass. Once he has the curtains drawn to keep the light from the city spilling in, he shrugs out of the robe and slips into the bed, letting out a relaxed sigh.

"I might even sleep in a little."

Though he usually goes to bed late and wakes up a bit later in the morning, he'd planned to order some breakfast for them to start the day.

Casper's habitual insomnia has, at least, gotten better, the more nights he spends sharing a bed with Alexander. He sleeps more soundly, when they stay over at each other's places, and he's able to wrap up in his partner's arms.

He joins Alexander in bed, tangling their legs together and wrapping an arm around his waist, nose against his collarbone. "I sleep so much better with you."

Considering how much of his life he's spent finding any sort of emotional or physical connection off-putting, he finds can't deny that he doesn't mind this. It's stupidly domestic, and it's only appealing because of Casper.

He toys a little with Casper's hair, making an amused sound.

"Is that only because I'm good at wearing you out?"

[readytosee]

"A little of that," he smiles against Alexander's chest, fingers moving in lazy patterns over his back. "It certainly doesn't hurt, that's for sure.

But you also just make me feel a little more relaxed. It's nice, I don't let myself relax like this that often."

[obscurissime]

He snorts a bit. Imagine that, he makes someone feel relaxed, said no one ever.

"My door and my bed is always open to you, if you ever need to relax."

[readytosee]

"Oh?" His fingers drag up and down the line of Alexander's spine, and he presses a kiss to the curve of his shoulder.

"I may have to take you up on that. The offer goes both ways, you know. If you ever need to relieve some tension."

"If you don't take me up on it, I'll probably get offended."

Which is not really recommended.

He gives Casper's hair a bit of a tug in response to the light touch of Casper's fingers, then nudges his face up to give him a kiss.

That tug gets a quiet noise in the back of his throat, and he more than happily moves up to meet that kiss. "Wouldn't want to offend you," he murmurs, but it's a little distracted. Alexander's mouth is always incredibly distracting.

Casper could argue up and down that he's not easy, which is mostly true. But Alexander kisses him in a way that just makes him melt, and after that it's hard to want to resist.
